About the Award
The IEEE PES Robert P. Noberini Distinguished Contributions to Engineering Professionalism Award was established to honor PES members in the power engineering profession for long-term dedicated effort and outstanding accomplishments in advancing the aims of IEEE professional activities in the areas served by the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES).

Marko Delimar for contributions and leadership to IEEE and PES professional activities in support of Student Members and Public Policy.
Award Details
Purpose:
To honor PES members in the power engineering profession for long-term dedicated effort and outstanding accomplishments in advancing the aims of IEEE professional activities in the areas served by the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES).
Prize:
Specially engraved plaque. Travel reimbursement up to $1,500 to participate in the PES General Meeting Awards Ceremony where the award is presented.
Eligibility:
Candidates shall be an IEEE and PES members in good standing. No current member of the IEEE Board of Directors, the IEEE PES Governing Board, the IEEE PES Awards and Recognition Committee, the IEEE USA Board of Directors, IEEE USA Awards and Recognition Committee, the IEEE PES Robert P. Noberini Award Evaluating Committee, or IEEE staff may be candidates, or nominate or endorse candidates for this award.
Selection shall be based on the dedication, effort, quality, and most particularly on clearly successful accomplishment and achievement in advancing the social, economic, legal, and ethical aims of the IEEE Power & Energy Society professional activities.
The IEEE PES Robert P. Noberini Award Evaluating Committee will submit the results of its evaluation to the PES Awards and Recognition Committee for review and evaluation. If the PES Awards and Recognition Committee concurs with the recommendation of the Noberini Committee, it will present the recommendation to the IEEE PES Governing Board for final PES approval.
The citation may be proposed by the person originating the nomination. It will be reviewed and modified as appropriate by the IEEE PES Robert P. Noberini Award Evaluating Committee. The PES Awards and Recognition Committee shall make the final decision on the wording of the citation.
Presentation:
Presentation of the award shall be made by the President, IEEE PES at the PES General Meeting Awards Ceremony.
IMPORTANT NOTES: Nomination forms must be written in English. One per year. If no suitable candidate is proposed in a given year, the award will not be presented for that year.
PES, being one of IEEE’s Organizational Units, follows IEEE Policy 4.4H:
- Eligibility and Process Limitations. Individuals serving on any board or committee involved at any stage of the recipient selection or approval process for an award shall be ineligible to receive, or act as a nominator or reference for that award. This conflict of interest limitation shall apply to all awards given by the IEEE or any of its organizational units
