Instructions
Use this ready-to-use canvas to collect information for your Training Needs Assessment.
A Training Needs Assessment is a process through which training program designers come to define key elements of a future learning intervention (could be a class, course, program, experience, workshop).
Collect information through some of these actions:
- client meetings;
- 1:1 interviews with prospective participants;
- focus groups;
- observation;
- research.
This canvas contains spaces to mark down information as you collected, including on non-negotiables such as where or when a training course will take place, as well as more intangible things such as desired outcomes and hopes for the session or programme.
Once you have all the information you need, you can move to defining learning objectives and brainstorming your learning course design.
