IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) is proud to share we participated at the Cigre Cairns 2023 International Symposium for the first time on 3 – 7 September 2023 in Cairns, Australia and it was a resounding success. The event offered an excellent opportunity for IEEE PES to engage with a diverse global audience, as the booth attracted a leading network of engineers and industry professionals that helped strengthen our society’s reputation and expand our membership network. 

The profound interest in our society indicates potentially significant future collaborations and growth of IEEE PES with key academics and industry professionals. We consider our participation to be a significant milestone for the IEEE PES and UQ IEEE PES Student Branch, and we’re optimistic about leveraging the connections made during the event for future activities and collaborations.
